Professional Experience

Cribl
San Francisco, California

Director of Brand and Creative
July 2023-Present

Cohesity
San Jose, California

Director of Creative and Brand
April 2020-June 2023

I was brought on to the Cohesity Marketing team in a senior leadership role to help the company transition its brand positioning from a backup provider to a comprehensive data security and management company operating in a SaaS model. In my first five months with the company, I was responsible for refreshing the Cohesity brand to reflect its evolution from startup to enterprise.

We launched a website redesign to coincide with this change in visual brand and positioning, while also leading a virtual event to announce a strategic relation-ship with AWS. I also launched the companys’ first digital asset management system as well as a Brand Portal and a new brand training program to drive consistency and engagement with employees.

From there, I commissioned a brand research study to establish a baseline of our solution positioning in the market. As data security became more prevalent for customers than ever, my in-house team of designers and I established the data security sub-brand for Cohesity, which launched on the NASDAQ tower in New York City.

Hitachi Vantara

Creative Director, Visual
Brand and Creative Services
2016–April 2020

I have a wide range of responsibilities in my role as creative director. I lead an in-house agency team of visual designers, video editors and producers, based both in Santa Clara, California and Pune, India. I’m responsible for all things visual brand, including our corporate brand identity as well as the identity for our company branded conference Hitachi NEXT and our internal company kickoff. I also work with a variety of external agency partners who create content on behalf of the company in demand generation, video, content, and events. I represent the brand as a whole in cross-functional settings, and help shape corporate content to best reflect our brand personality in partnership with my copywriting counterpart. I’m experienced in pitching creative concepts to the executive committee of the company to gain sponsorship to move our ideas forward. I’ve done several strategic brand projects for M&A initiatives during my time at the company, and I also have experience in serving as liason to our corporate brand group based in Japan to continue to evolve the overall Hitachi brand.

Hitachi Data Systems
Santa Clara, California

Art Director
Brand and Creative Services
2015–2016

In my time as art director, I was the visual design lead for our in-house agency team. I led conceptual exercises with the rest of the team, and I represented the team on broader projects like our major website overhaul that we rebuilt from the ground up. I trained agencies and the company as a whole on our visual brand and reviewed corporate materials against our brand guidelines. I also partnered with executive communications to create senior executive keynotes for internal and external events. I was also responsible for pitching creative ideas to our executive committee.

Senior Visual Designer
Integrated Marketing
2011–2015

I began working with our executive committee on keynote presentations, and grew the role from there. I redefined the visual brand for the company within a couple months of starting, and continued to evolve as our creative team grew. I created identity concepts for internal kickoff events and followed through on the execution of branded templates, web, and signage. I also redesigned our website templates to bring them in line with our new visual brand.
